Everyone has a different sense of humor and not everyone may find talking smack to be comical. Hence, my post. I have received feedback regarding things of this nature. I think we can be courteous to those we do not know and respect other nations.

Hi there. Since I have only been on here few days, I am still trying to figure who's who. Some I know some I don't. I quickly looked around and I don't see any thread on where people are from. Would be nice to know where people are from. If this had already been done, just link me to the spot. If not, go ahead and post.

I'm Sandra
Live in Northeast Florida for the past year. Raised in Charlotte, NC. I stay at home with my two kids and go to school to get my degree in Allied Health Science so I can apply to RN school. I have wanted a beardie for about 12 years now and decided now would be the time to do it and talked my husband into getting one about 2 months ago. Then another one. I have Slyder, don't know how old he is but guessing he is about 4 months. I am very attached to him, he was extremely emaciated and dehydrated when I got him, there are before and after pics in the photo section if you want to look. My newest is Oscar, he is 5 years old and with the exception of red sand to stain him has been very well cared for. I found both on Craigslist, saved a ton of money and gave beardies in need a good home.

I'll put in my details again lol

Name: Francis
Location: Melbourne Australia
Employment: Image Analyst
Beardie info: Been a herptoculturist for over a decade, I have had P.barbatas and P.vitticeps as well as other native agamids (ctenophorus), skinks (Egernia and Tiliqua) and varanids (Odatrias) in my collection. I severely downsized about 4 years ago in my collections so for a while i only had 1 male P.vitticeps from the South Australian Mallee region as my reptile company. Now I am slowly starting to build up my collection again mainly focusing on the Nephrurus levis complex (knob-tailed geckos). I will be giving up on the Pagona complex when my boy goes and will be moving back to Odatrias (dwarf monitors). It will be sad as it will be the end of an era as having only a BD for a while as sharpened my focus in this hobby and much of my passion from moving from a pet keeper to a herpticulturist has come from my love of my BD.

My name is Vesta
I was born at Fort Bragg,(Fayetteville) North Carolina
I'm an Army Brat. Met and married my husband of 35 years in Kaiserslautern, Germany. I had my first child at Landstuhl(the American Medical Hospital you often hear mentioned on the news) Spent 9 years in Germany on 3 different tours. I have lived in New Jersey,Oklahoma, Texas, New York and now Pennsylavania where we have spent the last 29 years.
I have 3 beardies, 2 geckos, 2 tiger salamanders,4 cats, 1 dog,1 frog and 1 turtle. Our little animal family is slowly dwindling down to a small zoo.
I am an active member of our church and spend time volunteering and heading up various ministries.
My pass times are sewing, decorating, reupholstering furniture, and refinishing antiques!! I spend a LARGE amount of time sticking my foot in my mouth and then trying to remove it. (just checking to see if anyone really reads this stuff) LOL!!

4. You're losing your touch, Vesta...

I'm Janie.. I was born in Ok City, OK back in the day of hippies and free love.
Adopted and raised in the midwest, Ks, Io, Ne and Mn. Moved back down south at age 23ish, married moved into Charleston Sc and settled just in time for Hugo.
Now I live in Savannah, Ga. Been here and back over the last ohhhhhh 25 years come Thanksgiving.
Raised all sorts of critters, helped my dad out lots, retired Veterinarian of 35 years, only got into serious reptile collecting/keeping in the last two odd years.

I read quite a bit, do lots of gardening. I feel my aim for my adult life is more directed towards herbal pharmacology.

I'm rather laid back, finding it hard to let go of the 70's.
Anywho... That's Janie in a nut shell... Oh.. and I love my roaches... lol

Our newest beardie and the rest of us live in Calgary, AB Canada and like my friends in Ontario, we also don't have dog sleds, just high powered snow sleds. Actually, it's 78 degrees here today and blustery but nice to see green again!

Cheers,
