I got canned silkworms. Found out they were silkworm pupae. :/ I hope that's good to give to beardies. I know she really liked them.

Off ebay from Josh's Frogs.

I had a fire today from Allie's light fixture! It's going back to the Home Depot for an exchange. I'm going to use the incandescent lights instead of the halogen. Just until I can get a fixture that works for them. I got a new 100 watt halogen and it blew out and had a fire. It's all black on the top! Poor Allie. She went outside for some natural sun. She's still unsteady from her fall. (I think she's still healing from it.) :( But she's able to right herself now. I saw her lay on her side, think for a minute, then pushed herself up onto her belly. She may be a special needs dragon now because she's progressing slower than usual. She's still needing help feeding and went a small poo outside with soft urates. :/ Right now, I have a CHE on and a UVB on her. The CHE is 60 watts. It's not hot enough, but it's hot enough in the house. I smelled and touched the prongs to the cords to her other heating equipment. Cool to the touch, no hot wires. I'm not having a good day today I guess. I even smelled the outlet and looked at it. It's not burnt or anything.

OMG, how scary and so weird because I had a dream the other night that there was a fire in one of my surge protectors! Hope nothing else was damaged other than the light fixture.

I order my crickets from Josh's Frog's. I really like that place, they have real good customer service.

I checked all of my equipment, surge protectors and wires. They were cold. I'm not going to use anymore surge protectors.

She ate a lot more than before. I gave her greens with a prickly pear fruit. It was a hit! She loved it. Ate almost all her greens tonight with help. She even swallowed them right there and then!

Surge protectors wont protect you from faulty equipment - just from electriasl surges whichbcan damage equipment.

Allie should be a poster child!

There were no surges from the UVB or anything. Just the fixture I had the bulb in.

My bad. Surges come from the power source - outside the home. Surge protectors even out the electricity supplied to an appliance - like the uvb or the bulb receptacle. Surge protectors are a good thing - they keep appliances from exploding due to a spike in electrical current. Fixtures can fail for a number of reasons - including bad components or poor construction. Pls forgive me if im coming across like a know it all - I just wanta share what i do know. (Knowledge is power)

Oh that's ok. There was a problem with the fixture before the fire. It was flickering even before it all went up into flame. It stunk so bad that I thought the outlet was bad and so were everything else. It was so hot upstairs, I didn't have to use a heat light. Just the UVB and the 60 watt CHE.

Allie has a full stomach tonight. Yay!

She's not given me a poo recently. So I'm hydrating her since she feels dehydrated and given her some baby food prunes to help her out. She was trying to go and nothing came out. I have given her a dose of prunes and several syringe full of baby juice-Apple. It was a hit.

Ok. I got a new fixture and intense basking bulb, 100 watt. Hopefully that's strong enough to provide a hot basking spot for her. Her basking spot is collapsible and I was able to give her something taller.

She poo'd and while with a treatment, she bled from that plaque that seems to be coming out.
