That's good that she's feeling better. I would assume their jaw bone would be white, just like ours. Unless, the antibiotics she's been on stains the bone. Back in the day people used to be prescribed Tetracycline for acne and it was discovered taking it for long periods of time stained your bones.

Then it's mouth rot. I see yellow hard plaque...I've been putting Peroyxl all around her mouth using q-tips. One for each area.

I know the Peroyxl's starting to bother her upper jaw. She runs whenever it's applied.

If i am not mistaken (and it wouldnt be the first time) this is an hydrogen peroxide based product. It fizzes on contact. She might not like the fizzy feel. Or the taste. Try the insect flavoured. (!)

She has to ingest it? I use cotton swabs to get the areas that have the infection. Should I be rinsing her mouth out with it? I think her gums are starting to swell. I can't tell for sure. She's still on Antibiotics treatments.

Oh ok. She didn't fight me this morning. I've been up since 3 A.M. not at all there. I went to check on her about 1-2. She left me a large present in her bed.

Small little patches keep appearing. One huge plaque came out the other night. I'm still working on the one on the right, trying to remove those smaller patches, but they bother her. Her upper gumline's the same shape, but I'll keep treating her gum line with Peroxyl. She's not fighting me much now so maybe it's either getting better or it's not. I can't tell with the upper gums. They're yellow and hard. I don't have a hard metal pic to scrape it off.

She's acting normal. Running around and so forth. *Like she's 100 percent.* Last night, she climbed heads, chairs, I think she's ready for her basking log. Try that today. She's graduating.

Failed attempt. She has tried and landed on her back. She wasn't there for long. I righted her immediately. The girl was happy that she got something and started to glass dance. She glass danced a little too much and landed on her back. Then she rolled over and righted herself.

Would anyone know what color a normal bearded dragon's gums would look like? Allie's gums are yellow and I read somewhere on the Internet, they're either pink or yellow. :/ I just never knew or noticed her gums before.

No takers on the gum question.

How about Baytril side affects? Will it affect the liver and will it get enlarged. I've been feeling a bump on the side. It does go back into place. I'm beginning to think it's her liver, but not sure. The mouth rot's clearing up. One side's now grayish instead of yellow. Still going through treatments. Missed one though because of a family emergency.

There's only three days left of the Baytril. I'm planning on stopping the Antibiotic.

She still eats her greens wilted and shocked. No BM's yet. She had a soak today.

She drank some water tonight. A lot of water. She had about 3.0 cc's tonight. That's a lot to drink for a little dragon. I got to see her take it in too.

If things have cleared up I think stopping the antibiotic is a good idea. What side is the bump on? Could she have an impaction from swallowing one of the plaque? How long has it been since she pooped? Maybe some apple sauce with a bit of olive oil will help?

Hope everything is okay with your family.

From a medical point of view: using meds which are not needed can result in negative consequences. However - NOT using meds which ARE needed can also have negative consequences. Discontinuing antibiotic therapy prematurely can result in the development of antibiotic resistant strains of bacterium. If you stop a/b too soon you may not kill off all the bad bacteria, the remaining bacteria will multiply and you'll have another round to go. If you choose to stop the baytril - keep a vigilant eye! (I know you will)
