I am officially at 9 days and counting (7 work days wooooo)

I can not wait to go to New orleans. here's hoping I don't hate it since I have 4 years there.

I am mainly excited about how much culture there is there. At least when you get away from the beaten path. I am excited to go but scared of the "newness" of it all.

That is the challenge most people face. So, you can either be intimidated by the newness, and find negativity... or be excited and prepared to find positivity.
Pretty simple to me.. but, I'm kinda different.

OK being from down under somebody fill me in on a little geography and backgound on New Orleans.

New Orleans, Louisiana or Florida, right next to each other yeah :-\?

Down South means high humidity??

Gators were mentioned, does that mean swamps and the everglades?? Free corn snakes?? (have you guys got laws against taking natives out of the wild?)

New Orleans Louisiana. And yeah typically 100% humidity down there lol. There are tons of swamps and rivers and bodies of water all over louisiana so field herping is a eventful hobby lol. And yes there are laws in most states (louisiana being one of them) against capturing and keep wild reptiles.

And thanks for the warm wishes. I am praying for fair skys and calm seas (navy terminology sorry lol)
