Same, I’m literally sitting in my e-mail refreshing waiting for a message… aside from when he’s doing the freak out trying to bite himself, he acts pretty normal and doesn’t show signs of stress at least…
She's on late at night and will respond on your thread-

Little update: no signs of stress all day today, he tried to eat a mealworm but he dropped it twice and he didn’t try again. He’s been basking all day without issue (thanks @Sadie for the dish towel advice). I think he’s regaining some feeling, the mealworm crawled over his back and he actually reacted to it. Gave him a bath hoping he’d poop, and then some olive oil after since he unfortunately didn’t. I think he hurt is left front hand, most likely from biting it before though. He does seem a little more sluggish and tired today though :(.

Thank you for the update - I am hoping Tracie gets w/ you tonight - is he still biting himself?

Nope! He hasn’t shown any signs of stress all day. Just concerned about his lack of energy now, but he hasn’t eaten so I’m worried about that

Do you think I should try giving him some kind of
Purée?
You can make a slurry of greens- see if he will lick it off a spoon- make sure he stays hydrated either by baths not too many tho- they will dry his skin out- does he swim in the water ? You can drop water on his nose and see if he will lick- is he sitting on the dish towels?

I put the olive oil on his face and he licked it off, I think he might do the same with the greens. And he does try to swim a little, but I don’t fill it so much that he could swim. And I piled it up so it’s a smooth ramp from the bottom of the tank to the basking spot so he has no risk of falling, so far he’s gotten around the tank without any issue, but he’s been enjoying his basking spot

Hello,

Sorry for the delay!
How is your boy doing, is he still with you?
Is his beard dark right now?
Can you post a picture of the new basking area for us? Definitely be sure he cannot fall & that he can get
in & out of his basking area to cool off when needed. I am always hopeful when it comes to injuries in the
event that they can & often overcome them. I would say if he is not in terrible pain that you can notice, to
try & work with him & give him a chance for now. If you don't mind me asking, did he fall onto a hard floor
like wood or tiles, or carpet?
I will send a PM to you also.

His beard would only ever get dark when he was biting himself honestly, which was my biggest solace throughout this is that he doesn’t seem to be in any distress apart from those moments. He fell onto hardwood :( and here’s a photo of the basking area

you want ONE good UVB I posted links so pick one and ONE good basking bulb
Flukers basking ----- Exo Terra Intense or a Arcadia Halogen -- make sure you have a digital probe thermometer to get actual surface basking temps --

I used to have a tube fixture, but these ones are specific specs that will be better for him? I’ll just look around and see where I can order from to receive them the fastest. Thanks

Also how about natural sunlight too? Should I try to give him time to bask outside?

I was going to order from Pangea so I could get bulb and fixture at once but it’s still just the shipping times, I’m gonna try to make a trip out to a petsmart if I can
