Day 2: 4th dose: She's got her head held up high this morning and is basking on her newest log, covered in paper towel. It's her habba hut that she missed. She's able to climb it! And as long as it's near a window she's fine. So far, I've noticed a change in energy. She has more energy. I'm not going to say it doesn't work, it probably is working internally. I hope it does. I know that some medicines take time to work.

She is active when I take her out and she wants to run around my bed. I had to stop her because now I'm afraid to let her run around on my bed. I may be there, but she's fast.

Yes. But not by herself. :/ She eats with my help and she's active. Glass dancing and I hear her on her food dish...Keep your fingers crossed! I hope she's at least eating something by herself! With all the exercise and energy, she has to have some kind of appetite.

She's been improving and fighting it. The vet would've said there's nothing more they could do for her. When she had that bad URI, they told me that.

Well docs n vets aint always rite. Wen my daughter was bout 12 months she put a piece of sponge in her nose n it got stuck n all infected n there was a horrible smell comin from her. Wen i took her the docs they told me it was infatargo i took her the hospital and they told me it wasnt sponge it was a milk alergy altho she neva had a problem with milk. It wasnt until i took her to alder hay childrens hospital coz the skin under her nose looked burnt and her nose started to bleed. And it was them that listen to her and got it out no 1 else wud take any notice at wot she was sayin coz she was so young. She cud only just speak but she knew wot shed done. But yeh sorry to go off the subject but i wudnt take it all in 100% coz they not alway rite. My nan got a muscal disease and was told she wudnt live past 40 shes now 77. U no ur doin a gud job n u no ur beardie. So dnt if u got faith then so will she. I say a posative mental attitude goes a long way :)

I'm going to be looking for another vet to do her yearly reptile exams to do fecal floats and full exotic exams. Otherwise, I'm not going to use their facilities unless it's really something serious. Yes, Yellow fungus disease is deadly and can kill them, but she's on an antifungal. I was looking up the ingredients of the Reptaid. There's Olive Leaf, Mustard Seed, Black Seed, Pau D'arco (Antifungal, Antimicrobial), Cloves (Antifungal), Grapefruit Seed Extract, Jatoba (Both Antifungal.), Alcohol, and distilled water. The Alcohol is supposed to get it all into her blood stream.

See: My Mom was a Dr Mom. She could tell what was wrong with my brother and I. My brother had walking pneumonia and the dr wouldn't do a thing. Took him to the ER and they treated him. The next day at the Dr's office, the dr finally said, How did you know he was sick... Mothers know these things.

I'm guessing I'm the same way when it comes to Allie. I know she's ill, by the way she holds herself and doesn't want to lay on the fungus site. It might hurt her or it's the scales peeling away from the site- from the Reptaid.

Glad to hear she's feeling better! I don't have any kids but when you spend so much time with your animals you get in tune with them and you just know when something isn't right with them.

I used to work for an oral surgeon and we had a patient once that went scuba diving and got seaweed up his nose and didn't know it. He went from doctor to doctor trying to figure out what the infection was and we took an X-ray and it showed something in his sinus. It's crazy that they couldn't look up your daughters nose and tell that here was something in there.

Oh hun, don't let them get you down. Allie will be ok. You have given her so much of you. She has been already rescued. Don't ever feel like you have to give her up. YOU are the reason allie is alive! And she will be just fine, I know it. People can be so cruel. Chin up sweetie, everything will work out for you. I wish I could help :(

Oh I won't let them get me down. She's still not eating much and on her own. So I'm giving her the extra treatment. Tonight: I'm going to give her some worms. I don't have any crickets because she's not interested in eating them. I tried that once. I'm not pressuring her to eat. I'm letting her decide how much she wants to eat. She's got a piece of mouth rot in her mouth. I don't want to mess with it because of the sores that she keeps opening. I'm hopeful they heal.

It looks like it's getting ready to shed.
