    Adopt from PWC Animal Shelter

She has been adopted :) I wish her luck with her new family.

    Adopt from PWC Animal Shelter

This dragon came to the Prince William County Animal Shelter (in northern VA) just yesterday. She appears a bit under fed, was kept in calci-sand (so she's tinted orange), and isn't very well socialized (she puffs up and tries to bite when I reach my hand in). The previous owners said they were...

    Watching Tepes after lights out

I have a timer set up for Tepes' lights and I'm usually else where when they turn off and then find him asleep later on with his head proped up against the glass. I've been wondering how he finds himself in these positions so tonight I decided to try to watch him. Apparently the silly boy runs...

What is your bee favourite position to sleep?

Awwww, these are all sooooo cute. Tepes likes to sleep with his head propped up against the glass. I've only had him for 4 nights now, but so far it's been like this every night. The second pic is from just now, silly little guy.

Why Did You Name Your Beardie The Name You Chose?

@Claire haha, that's kind of how I knew what not to name one of my dogs. My family was sitting around him thinking of names and I suggested Ein and he growled at me. I think he knew that was a corgi name (from the anime Cowboy Bebop), and he was a beagle that wasn't going to take that nonsense...

    My first beardie

I think he is, got him to eat at least 7 today. I'm not sure if that's normal for a 4-5" baby or not and he hasnt eaten any greens since that first afternoon, but its still a big step up from yesterday.

    My first beardie

Thanks :) Although, it seems his good appetite yesterday was a false alarm. Despite eating everything that was offered after bringing him home, all I could get him to eat today was 1 cricket :( and here I was hoping that I got to skip the stress fasting phase. Oh well, he wouldn't truly be one...

    My first beardie

Thanks :) I'm looking forward to watching him grow up. I gave him his afternoon crickets a while ago and he gobbled them all up. He also really like the collards I offered him, I didn't think I'd see him take the greens so soon, I was kinda expecting him to refuse all food for a while.

    My first beardie

Just brought home my first beardie :) I've been planning and preparing for a couple months and today I went to a reptile expo and picked out my little boy. Originally I was hoping to pick out a juvie and not a baby, but when I saw this little guy, I just fell for his coloring! So here is, I...

    Growing your greens?

Thanks, I was already planning on raising/breeding dubia, but was just thinking I could try doing a little more. I hadn't noticed how inexpensive the greens were (I don't do the grocery shopping for the house). Today I stopped by a grocery store and looked at the collards and they sell it in...

    Growing your greens?

So I thought of trying to grow my own greens for my future beardie so I could save a little money on his food expenses. However it seems I have a brown thumb and managed to kill my collards, turnips, and mustard greens in just 2.5 weeks. Has anyone else had any success with growing your own...

I think you had one in Daytona last month too. I have a friend that just moved there and she said she went to that one. I went to go visit her the weekend after, but she made it sound so cool that wished I went sooner haha. As for money, she picked up a large exo-terra tank there for a steal. It...

    newbie

Thanks for the welcome, and thanks for the links germ :) I've actually seen the nutrition guide and the how to sex video already, but the others are new to me. I've decided I want to grow most of my beardie's veggies and breed roaches. Thanks to that nutrition page I got my plants picked out and...

    newbie

I'm a new member here, but I don't have a beardie just yet. I decided to join this forum first in case I run into questions before I actually take home my animal. The only other reptile I've owned was a leopard gecko which I took in from my step-brother. It's been several years since then and I...
