    Back up Battery

I’ve had some power outages lately, during the day luckily. But if it’s a cool night and his heater goes down I want something in place for power. Been looking on-line and found units to recharge your laptop or tablets and phones. Not sure if that’s enough power. Does anyone have a back up power...

    Hello everyone!

Just for looks I have a cloth tapestry with a desert scene on it stapled to the back wall of my enclosure. If the humidity drops a little it’s easy for me to mist it to hold some water for it to evaporate. Don’t use peel and stick vinyl decor because the glue will give off bad fumes when heated...

    Help! (stressed? too much handling?)

What I practiced as soon as I got mine was having it in the same room as me so my dragon saw me all the time and got use to me. Also put something with your scent on it in the enclosure so he knows your smell and are not going to hurt it.

    Looking out the window

That’s not his enclosure. Lights on a timer. Sleeps around 70.

    Looking out the window

My dragon loves the snow I think. His first winter. I made him a little balcony to climb on. And I still use my table at night when he goes to bed. Heat light keeps him around 85 so I only let him chill for a little at a time. And with the mesh Velcro around the side I can leave the room if I...

    Scully the Bearded Dragon

I use “collage” for presents for family and friends. I got a free gift, a canvas print, just pay for shipping. I sent in a picture of my Ivan and it came back looking great. Looks nice on my stand. Sounds like you love your dragons, getting a nice picture like I did might be something to look...

    Tiny beardie

I have a small cylinder fish tank. 5 or 7 gallons. I used to put my dragon in it with feeders. Even if he was lazy the roaches or crickets would eventually walk in front of him while they continuously looked for a corner to hide in. Being 2 and probably over a foot long you might need a...

    “Cracking” the tail?

Some people “crack” their knuckles. My guy was on my shoulder, started climbing down my arm and felt unsure, and regrabbed for security. It sounded like his tail “cracked” when he wrapped it around my arm. I set him back in enclosure and touched his tail here and there and he doesn’t seem to...

    Seasons changing

Lounge space. Just gave him extra cover. He has a back exit. Just gonna let him chill.

    Seasons changing

I got Ivan, my first bearded dragon in February. So this is the first fall/winter daylight change I have had to deal with. My dragon’s sleeping routine is off and has been lounging a lot more often. I did not know that they have to adjust to the getting darker sooner. His lights are on a...

    Help and advice

My guy is almost a year so I’m not sure what a fully matured beardie needs. I have a lot of things to climb on, various places to sit and hide. Even a balcony connected on the outside so he can leave his enclosure and sit by the window and stare at the backyard. Just snowed for his first time...

Is it weird to enjoy caring for feeder insects?

I actually named one Grandpa to watch over the little ones. He was badly chewed on.

Is it weird to enjoy caring for feeder insects?

I keep 2 bins for roaches. If the breeders fight for whatever reason, ratio off or extra eager to mate, don’t know. Sometimes I find adults with their wings chewed on. I feel bad and put them in the bin with roaches just growing up(no breeders) to mend.

    Power outage

Moved a couple months ago. Kind of in the country now. First snowfall of the year and my power flickered. This scarf I’m looking at has 3 settings and up to a 10 hour charge on the battery if used on low setting which is 104 degrees. My dragon may lay on it if it’s not too hot but maybe put in a...
