Yeah, that’s what I do but I was just looking for appropriate cleaners that won’t leave streaks. I’ve been using dish soap and it’s all right but was hoping someone had some better ideas. If your saying that cleaners like windex are ok as long as I let the enclosure air out completely then I...
What do folks use to clean the glass in enclosures? I’ve been using a little dish soap and water but it still leaves it streaky. It sure if something like windex is ok, don’t like the idea of using chemicals.
I've read a lot of articles on brumation and they all seem a little ambiguous on when it happens. In the last week my beardie has just stopped coming out of his cave. Two weeks ago in October he was all over the place and now nothing. I don't think he's even eaten in 2 days. If I pull him...
He’s a little over 2 years old, same tank and decor almost the whole time. Got a bigger rock that gives him a place to hide and a new rock background. He just came out of him brumination a few weeks ago, that’s when he started getting real active again.
100w heat lamp, about 105-110 in his basking spot, 75-80 on the other side. Running a reprising 10.0 UVB T5 HO for the rest of the tank. Food he gets collard greens and freeze dried crickets everyday, those are his favorite, with that I sprinkle in some fruit and other bugs both alive and...
Eating and pooping fine, yeah black beard. I thought maybe his reflection was stressing him out, but I covered all the glass with paper and he had the same reaction. It’s about 105-110 under his heat lamp, 75-80 on the other side. I’ve run out of ideas on what he wants.
How do you entertain a bearded dragon? Mine goes nuts in the morning and early afternoon, all over his tank, knocking stuff over and banging against the glass. I have started taking him out during the day while I’m working in my basement office, it’s the only safe place to take him out because...
How long should I keep the lights on? I usually turn on the lights at 6:30-7:00 when I get up. He’s very active and playful during the day. Loves to get out and explore. Come around 5pm he’s laying around like this. Just wondering if I’m cutting into sleep time.
It's a fine mesh. This is the type of bulb that came with the tank when I got it so I'll go out and get a new setup this afternoon. Thanks for the help!
Oh, now I know what you mean by coil. Yeah, it's like those new fluorescent bulbs for lamps, not a long tube. Ok, I may be a little slow but now I got it. lol
I took the bulb out to verifiy what I had. It is a Reptisun 10.0 fluorescent tube 13W. I had been replacing it yearly because that's what it said on the bulb but if I'm reading this right, I should replace every 6 months and maybe use a higher wattage? This bulb has been in use for 9 months.
