Yes, I used ceramic tiles. They fit nicely. I bought mine at Home Depot. They have a cutter onsite if you need them cut to fit your tank. I put papertowels underneath to make cleanup easier. Make sure they fit together snuggly. You don't want to risk a nail or toe getting caught betweent he cracks.
