Good I am glad to hear that--- the whole issue was caused by the UVB bulb --including the RI he had as well -- those coils are no good and cause so many issues w/ dragons and can lead to death -- as far as I am concerned vets and people that sell the dragons should be aware and up to date on this stuff -- it is unfortunate that most people are not aware of the coils being used are killing their dragon--- some dragons can go for years not showing signs of the coil effects - most can catch it in time because they will cause eye issues - quit eating -or they will start w/ the twitching which is a sign of MBD which is not good - there are many signs of MBD --
That''s a big fear for me too. MBD. Both vets said he didn't have any signs of MBD and his bones, form, etc. looked good. It was just the URI. As you know, he is 9 years old. I am SO UPSET that the coils were most likely the reason and he probably was suffering for a while. Took 9 years for him to get sick. But I'm more aware now and have been babying him like crazy since almost losing him was super tough. Hopefully he has a few more good years left!

With you getting the UVB changed out and good basking temps he should be good -- the temps in the tank and good UVB are lifelines to the dragon -- here is another post from someone on this board that has/ had a dragon that was under a coil for 6 years this is them now https://beardeddragonforum.com/threads/sickly-dragon.26500/#post-191320

Seeing the dragon like that is absolutely heartbreaking! When I rushed Rumpsy to the emergency room back in February, he wasn't even as bad as this, and I freaked out. I hope this little guy was able to get to a veterinarian and get help. Poor thing.

Not blood on his arm. It's a the berries that were there. But can we please check out how amazing his eye looks?! He's shedding normally, giving me the stink eye. Look. At. Him. What a guy, healing nicely! I'm so happy!
(APRIL 27th vs MARCH 27th! One month anniversary!)

I see some shed there still- you can mist his head and use a soft baby toothbrush and gently brush him- the loose stuff will come off-- is he eating ok?

Just updated my post to include the before and after for ONE MONTH since he hurt his eye. Yes! He's still shedding. He's getting his soak tomorrow so that should help loosen it up. But he's just still in the process of losing his pieces. He's eating great! Especially loves his dandelions, goliath worms, and dragon gel at the moment.

I agree his eye looks so much better -- I was afraid he was going to lose the eye -- but he has healed up nicely- just remember to change out the UVB bulb in approx one year from install --- what bulb did you get the Reptisun or the Arcadia ? And is it in the tank or top of screen ? I think we went over placement and distance ?
