Haha if only, if only!

Thank you, i appreciate that. I was really worried about her. Ive been dealing with two sick beardies the last few months and it definitely is a lot of work.

I hear ya! I've got a sick beardie and 2 sick geckos. Between the meds, syringe feeding, and soaks they keep me busy. Pretty soon your hard work will pay off and your kiddos will be back to tip top shape and you'll be worry free :)

Have you seen any dead worms in Seraph's stool yet?

Glad to see your little one is doing better. She certainly is a beautiful little girl.

Is her breathing back to normal?

Thank you! Out of all of my lizards she is definitely the most colorful and beautiful. And she flaunts it! XD

It looks like her breathing is back to normal, from looking at her right now she looks extremely calm and isnt breathing heavily or anything. Im still not 100% that its gone but she is looking so much better.

That is great news. Your humidity seems to be in a good range so maybe since you've given her treatment her breathing with return and stay at a normal rate.

I don't blame her, if I was that beautiful I'd flaunt it to lol

No kidding! I brought home a beardie from the shelter a couple months ago that my friend dropped off. When i picked her up she had a completely dead arm. The shelter assumed it waa broken/ fractured but it was just nerve damage/ mbd. So through numerous amounts of calcium and water aerobics she has full function of her arm. Since that was taken care of weve only been dealing with her impaction issues but that is also getting better. Now she is chasing bugs on her own and even trying to go potty by herself! I gotta tell you the highlight of my day was watching her try to poop only to push out an extremely long fart XD. It has been a lot of work but you are right, it is so worth it!

Unfortunately, Seraph hasnt gone potty yet but since she just finished her last dewormer treatment im going to start working to get her to poop and get it to her vet.

Im hoping so! It helps that it is staying cold here, when it gets hot outside the humidity in the room goes up and its hard to combat. But with the cold, her night time temps lower to the 70s and her daytime stays the average 95-105°. I guess im gonna have to move to a state where its cold all of the time! Lol

I have the same issue. Our humidity fluctuates between too high and just perfect in the summer but now that it's cooler it stays in a good range. I've been thinking Colorado lol

I'm glad your rescue got function back in her arm. My gal didn't really like the water therapy, so we've just been doing regular physical therapy, which seems to help her. My smallest and newest rescue is dealing with impaction pretty hardcore. The lack of progress has been driving me crazy, because I can feel that there's a ridiculous amount of waste built up in her tiny little body. Impaction are the worst!

I'm sure the meds have something to do with Seraph's constipation. Hopefully she'll be done with them for good soon.

Yeah, they didnt really enjoy water therapy either. I felt bad most of the time. But getting them to kick and swim helps to get their bowels moving as well. Or even letting them run around the house. I hate impaction issues, they are the worst. Im looking into getting the probiotic, hopefully that will help. The issue i had with Izzy is when she couldnt use her arm, she didnt move at all. She literally laid in the same spot all of the time, didnt chase her food. Nothing. Ive had success with mineral oil, prune baby food mixed with vegetable oil and honey, and the water aerobics. Hopefully your little one poops soon :(

I've used oil, prune baby food, belly massages and warm soaks. I can get it to move down to the vent, but once it does its so large that her back curves down and her tail pulls to the right, making it impossible for her to pass. She's going for an enema on the 29th. It worries me because I don't know how much sustenance I can give her if nothing can leave her system. It could start causing respiratory issues soon.

Ruth's issue wasn't that she disliked the wate therapy, she enjoyed it so much that she wouldn't move at all and just wanted to lay in it! I couldn't get her to cooperate whatsoever haha. She's such a lazy bum sometimes.

Thats the hard part when it comes to getting them to pass their waste, ive had a couple scares where Izzy and Seraph pushed so hard that they froze once they pooped. I thought they had died or had paralysis. How little is your newest rescue?

Little, she fits in the palm of my hand. She can't really push do to the muscle weakness and lack of control from the MBD. I wish she could! She tries, but I usually have to do the work for her.

Its always so hard when they are little. They are so fragile. Hoping for the best with her enema!

How is Seraph doing? Happy Thanksgiving, by the way!

Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
Happy Thanksgiving!! Seraph seems to be doing so much better, shes eating, she doesnt seem to be breathing erratically and shes even got her attitude back. Im hoping we are finally out of the woods but i wont know until her poop is tested again. I picked up another beardie last night and it looks like his stool has blood in it.....we cant catch a break...can we?

Sounds like your newbie is going to need a vet appointment too. Is it in the stool, or is it a rusty color in the urate?

I'm glad Seraph is back to her old self. Fingers crossed for a clean stool sample! She's been in my thoughts :) Does the new baby have a name yet?

Im not entirely sure yet, all i saw this morning when he pooped (on my carpet....) was a wet puddle of light red. Which bums me out, i cant really afford more vet bills. His name is Mango! I just adopted him from another family (well...more like my mom decided to offer him a home with us haha)

Hes extremely sweet and he literally holds onto you like hes velcro, its hillarious! Hes eating, hes running, hes active so it gives me a bit of hope that this stool issue isnt as bad as it looks.

Thank you for thinking of Seraph! It means a lot to me and her. Im hoping this illness is kicked in the butt. :)

How is your littlest rescue doing?

I'll be sending good thoughts Mango's way! Maybe it was just a fluke. We can hope anyway.

Lady is now Chance, since it appears as though we have a little boy. And Chance is impaction free :)

We still have to pack some weight on him with critical care. He's got MBD pretty bad, so his bones are rubbery and he isn't able to chew roaches or anything yet. He'll be gaining strength pretty quickly now that things are moving like they should :)

Is it just the photo, or is Mango a tad thin? He looks like such a sweet boy.
