I hate when they label reptiles, I don’t think any of them are beginner pets.
I hated roaches too. My hubby said that he didn’t want them in the house. We went to a show and they had the dubia containers open so everyone could see how calm they were. We’ve been getting them ever since. I’ve told myself they are more like little rollie pollies than roaches. He still freaks out when I accidentally drop one, or if one goes missing in the frog tank but he realizes how nutritious they are.
