Tail and legs white

Hey yall. I bought a cute little beardie bout two weeks ago and since i got him his tail and arms have been white and the rest of his body was regular. He has not started shedding tail or arms at all. I dont know if this all is okay and hes just takin a while, or if somethin is wrong

Hes 7 and a half inches so round three months.

Sounds like he is about to shed. I would personally soak the little one everyday. This will help him shed and keep his active body hydrated.

Thats what ive been doing for two weeks and still no progress. Its funny how curious and active he is.

Yeah, he is about to go into tail and arm shed. When BD's are young, they shed different parts of their body at different times. Mine would shed tail and head, then shed his legs, then shed his body. This will happen until he becomes a sub adult usually due to eating in beast mode and rapidly growing. Fore example: My BD grew 8 inches in 8 weeks after I got him and every time he shed, it was 1 segment of his body at a time. Baths every day to let him soak is a good idea as mentioned above. How long has he been white?

If you look closer it sort of looks like his tail is being constricted. It could be that im just paranoid something is wrong but hes my first beardie so i dont know much about how they shed.

Well for the most part, it is constricted. That is why baths are important during shed. IF your BD ever has a problem shedding, it is beneficial to soak him for about 10 mins in the AM shortly after he wakes up. I set and check the tempature at 95- 98 degrees. He loves it at this temp in the AM's when I do bathe him because it brings his temperature up faster from sleeping temps. Every BD is different so you will have to play around and see what he likes.

He loves baths and i have the same temps as you and he loves baths. I just dont want his tail to fall off. I bought him from a pet store because they treat them horribly there. My friends and i buy a bunch of leopard geckos and other lizards so they can grow up happy and live the way they should. This is just my first beardie and they are different then geckos, iguanas, chameleons etc.

He will be fine. I would give him a few more days and he should start shedding it off. Maybe 4-5. Most pet stores don't know what they are doing and that my friend is the life of caring and not caring. If they are abused animals, call animal control. I did and had a pet shop surrender all their animals except fish for some reason.

Around here they arent mean to the poor little things they just dont know how to take care of them. All the two petshops we focus on are two petcos near us. They keep their juvie beardies on that calci-sand crap. They just need to actually be taught everything they need to know to properly take care of them. For example, when i bought alex there was another beardie in there that was real lazy so i kept going back every day to see how he acted. He was extremely lethargic and the lady just said "Oh bearded dragons are just naturally lazy. They dont do much and are not social." I wanted so bad to tell her how wrong she was but i just asked my friend to buy the other guy and its doing well and very attentive and social.
