She’s been climbing this wall and chillin up on the ledge.. I have cut a whole in the top of my screen to let more of the uvb in but she’s still climbing up there. Just curious what y’all’s thoughts were.

Could be but as she gets bigger she won't fit- do you have a piece of basking decor directly under the UVB and what bulb is that? T 5 or T 8?

Shes definitely craving the uvb and liking being near it, the slits in the mesh arnt big enough for her to get out right? Its fine if she wants to be there, but the risk of falling and hurting her joints is there , thatd be my only concern.

the slits arnt big enough for her to climb out of. i just couldn't find another solution to get the mesh out of the way. i tried to hang it under the mesh but the length of the fixture is too long to fit properly in the enclosure.

I would recommend you get a shorter UVB fixture -- I dont see it being a good thing in the future- she should be 12-15 inches away from a T 5 --- how long is she sitting up there for? I always recommend a 24" fixture for a 40+ gallon tank -- if the tank is over 4ft long then a 36" would be fine but never the whole length of the tank --- your running in to issues w/ it not fitting in the tank --- The dragon needs to be able to escape the rays of the UVB w/ out having to hide from it

She goes up there for maybe 30 mins tops but mostly down by the basking sight or by the front glass.

Basking sight is the UVB rays getting to the sight or just the basking bulb?

Additionally, id recommend you seal the styrofoam as soon as possible, you dont want them ingesting it. A couple coats of this will do perfectly.
