How old is the UVB ---- if its a T 8 it only has a expectancy of 6 months -- if its a T 5 it will have a expectancy of 1 year ---- and distance and placement is crucial so I need to know what it is
I'm not sure, the old owners I'm not in contact with and they said nothing about it

Please pull the bulb and look at it tell me what brand and bulb it is then go buy a new one --- that is your safest thing to do --- bulbs expire some sooner than others

Alright, it's a new bulb though.. It's very hot though, is that normal? Should I turn it off for a bit to let it cool off?

Hi; We rescue and rehome whenever adopting a new Beardie it’s very Improtant to get a new UVB and they only last “6” mnths even tho they turn on the Emit NO UVB. The best and most recommended is the Reptisun 10.0 T5 it’s a long tubular bulb. Please get one ASAP all UVB’s need replacing every “6” Mnths religiously or the Beardie won’t be able to move, eat or walk which leads to MBD weak bones & eventually death. And he needs a hideaway to get away from the heat and UVB as needed u may use a hammock with a soft cloth on top as long as under Bratt it is shade or a basking platform that’s big Enuff for him to hide under. Beardies love hammocks. Beardies need heat and UVB get the zoomed clear bulb for heat and the Reptisun 10.0 T5 for UVB leave both on for 10-12 hours in the winter and 12-14 in the summer. No mealworms; and no sand and baths twice a week in lukewarm dechlorinated water for 15min minimum. When they are shedding do more baths to help skin fall off and to ease the itching. Proteins for crickets and Dubias roaches and if he’s over a year old u may add superworms and always the plate of veggies and greens daily. Mustard greens, yellow squash, butternut squash, endives, green beans and snap peas. Fruits 2-3 times a week as treats blueberries, papaya, mangoes & some banana/apple. Calcium powder 4times a week once per day dusted on the proteins and herptivite vitamin powder sprinkled once per week/per day on a non calcium day. But witht he herptivite the loser cannot sit on the crickets for more than 10min if he doesn’t finish toss the crickets out with the vitamin powder. Here’s some pics for now get any uvb asap till the correct one comes in from Amazon. Pleaee get the UVB asap buy one from petco or Petsmart they only carry the T8 then return it when the T5 comes in please order ASAP. My last photo is my Beardie whom had MBD and I make the basking platform and cage hurt & fall proof and easy to get to the bashinn Gn spot with rolled up towels and blankets he needs help and soft in case he falls he is wobbly of u have blazing hot sun outside let him sunbath for an hour or so with you to get the uvb from the sun also.

It's been like this since before september though. She now only moves when shes on me.
Brumation wud not last this long pelase read my post below. Please replace the UVB ASAP witht he Reptisun 10.0 T5 or the T8 till the T5 arrives and then return the T8! The length U order should cover 70 percent of the tank and the Beardie needs a hideaway. I have a hammock with a Cloth over it so she can hide under on his fleece blanket Amd a basking platform she can hide under.

She has a hide, and it doesn't say t5 anywhere where can I find it? It goes over about 65% of the tank
