Dexter hurt her nail

Good news, Bad news. Bad news....I just noticed that Luci did loose the nail. The hangnail and the actual nail. The good news is...there is no sign of trauma it's as if it just fell right out. The end of the toe looks great and there is no blood! He let me touch it and didn't filch or anything. Now let's see if it grows back.

As long as he's not in any pain, good. He'll be all right. Just got to keep an eye on his toe then. *Fingers Crossed.*

I wonder if it's like when humans lose a nail? The skin is a little tender but the nail grows back just fine

I lost a pinky toe nail and it was very sensitive and tender. But it grew awkward, but no hangnail or anything. I broke the pinky toe so that's why the nail came off and doesn't grow right from now on.

It looks just fine and I played around with toe and he didn't flinch like he would when the nail was in there. Dexter lost a nail once and it grew back. It's not sharp like the others but it's a nail.

Aww. I'm sure he feels much better now.

Well it just dawned on me. Today he was running around his tank and glass dancing, he hasn't done that in a long time. Now I feel like it may have been bothering him all along, I feel bad

@PatsyB, dont be too hard on yourself, we all know their attitudes chand constantly based on their moods and desires. Unless Dexter literally said "Mommy, my toe is bugging me!" How would you know the full extent that he was bothered?

I know. And it wasn't like he wasn't walking on it and still jumping around his tank. So I won't feel so bad!

I feel like I have defective bearded dragons LOL! So I took a peek at Luci's missing nail and it looks like there is a new nail getting ready to come out. But the toe next to it he JUST injured because it had fresh blood on it. I cleaned it up and it looks okay but I have no idea what he hurt it on. He was laying on the floor and he scratched at a shoe. Other than that he didn't climb anything. I'm going to start keeping them in glass cages. Oh wait, I already do
