    Bonding with bearded dragon

I was lucky in that when I got Mango ,she really wanted someone to bond with. My grandson got her for his birthday almost two years ago and he decided a bearded dragon wasn't as great a pet as he thought and I ended up with her, while thinking,"A lizard? What do I want with a lizard!?" We bonded...

    Should I use a Arcadia 12% or 14%

Hi! I had the same problem and think I came up with a solution, depending on how handy you are. I put the light on mesh, drew a line around it with a sharpie and cut out a circle just a little less than the diameter of it. Then I drilled three holes on the fixture as close to edge as I could and...

    Hello

I'm not an expert, but my best advice is to get over being picky and use your hands. I have fed my dragon by hand since I got her. She is so used to me ,she won't eat from anyone else. Makes my grandson sad, but "Mango" and I bonded from the start. It's tricky with crickets, but doable. Super...

    Mango update and question.

Whoopie!! By the time I posted my question she pooped a large pile! I've never been happier to clean up poop in my life and I'm 71yrs old with five grandkids!!! Now her and I can get back to playing The Last of Us or maybe Fallout, who knows? Thanks again for all the advice.

    Mango update and question.

I want to thank everyone for your help and advice. It seems after 3 months, Mango has come out of brumation and has joined the world. For the past 5 days or so ,she has been her old self, a very sweet and happy dragon. One serious problem(I think) is that before she got sick and went into...

    Constipated

I would like a definitive answer to this question. Should I leave her alone to stay in her hiding place or take her out and treat her like I normally did, before she brumated. She has never been a really active dragon. She spent most of her time basking or cuddling with me as I played video...

    Constipated

Thanks for your reply. I talked with Dragon Fourum back several months ago when I took her to the vet. Nice exotic pet vet, big, nice and reasonable. When I took her she was just starting to try to brumate. She hadn't pooped I about a week then and she was always regular, but as soon as we pulled...

    Constipated

Couple months ago I posted about Mango having an infection and brumating. When she first started to brumate I took her to the vet ,who analyzed her poop and found the infection. I gave her the meds and she seemed to get better. Then 2 months ago she dug her out a spot and didn't come out until a...

    Brumation? Constipated!?

Thank you! Sorry I took so long to reply. She still out. The thing that amazes me ,is that she hasn't eaten except for two crickets 3 weeks ago ,yet when I hold her she weighs about the same and she was a hefty lizard. I think I have it under control now. Thanks.

    Brumation? Constipated!?

Thanks! The part I find the strangest is she always had a great appetite and was a little chunky, tubby and after all this time she still is a palm full and looks great. She is beautiful and healthy looking. I expected her to be skin and bones, but she looks fine. Thanks for.the advice. Pardon...

    Brumation? Constipated!?

I've written about Mango to you. She had an infection and was in her hiding place for about 3 weeks. Took her to the vet.and got medication, which I gave her until it ran out. She seemed better for a couple of days, but then dug her hole out and I was told went into brumating, in think. Now...

    Brumation

Mine isn't in beumation ,exactly, she's sick, but acting like brumation. I was.worried about the food rotting as I've been told, but I gave her a warm bath ,as I've been told to do, but she didn't poop until we pulled in at the vets. I felt better ,but I'm still not sure if she is brumating or...

    Giving medication

My question is how is the best way to get my dragon to open its mouth in order to give her her meds? I have been putting a drop of water on her nose and waiting for her to lick it, but I hate shoving the dropper in her mouth. Any easier way without traumatizing her???
