    Sealing Tiles?

Thanks, I think I am going to keep them loose in the tank. I was also concerned about the surface, because they are clay and textured they are untreated; they are porous. Didn't know if I should treat the surface to seal them to prevent them harbouring bacteria?

    Sealing Tiles?

We have just switched to tile from the reptile carpet; they are the red clay textured type tiles, do you have to seal these tiles? if so what do you seal them with?

    Keeps Closing One Eye

Could be, he doesn't seem distressed in anyway and there are no signs of it being an injury. So as long as it seems we are not causing it with the lighting we'll see how it goes. Its just weird! Thanks

    Keeps Closing One Eye

we turn it off between 9pm and back on between 8 and 9 am. Have move his basking area from the back of the viv, directly below the uvb lamp to the front, thought it might give a little more space from the uvb lamp.

    Keeps Closing One Eye

We are using a 75w sun glo basking light and reptisun 10 flo tube as lighting. There seems to be no trauma to the eye, but he does seem to do it most of the time, mostly basking and feeding times.

    Keeps Closing One Eye

Hi, Worried about bob, he keeps closing his left eye. He has his eye predominantly shut, but he does open it now an gain, I can't see any swelling or weeping, or anything that would indicate it was harmed/hurting him in anyway, but it seems unusual he keeps closing it. Is this normal behaviour?

    Hello - New Owner

Hello everyone, sort of done this the wrong way around as we have had lots of advice from some of you on the forum already. We bought our son a beardie on Saturday, (four days ago) we went a bit wrong, but you have helped us put that right now. Bob (the berdie - short for Bobafet) is doing...

    Confused - Help

He lies on it! He climbs up the back wall of the viv and lines on it, he won't be able to much longer as he only just fits into the gap now, I have it as close to the screen as can get it, but he squeezes hiself inthere. The lamp is not hot, less than his basking light, but not sure if this will...

    Confused - Help

Just ordered a ReptiSUN 10 lamp - I hope my bank manager is in a good mood, or at least keeps bearded dragons. Generally though I think we are getting there, the Max temp reached yesterday was 90degF in his basking spot and it dropped to 75degF during the night. He seems much more alert and...

    Confused - Help

The store only had the exo-terra brand (repti-glo) so even if they would take the lamp back they don't do cash refunds , so for the moment i am stuck with the repti glo, from what you have said that should be ok though, right? Apologies, but I don't want to sound as if doubt what you say at...

    Confused - Help

Oh heck, the reptiglo is all they had there, I got it thinking that it was better than the coils I had before. He seems a lot happier under this set-up, should I change this immediately or can I do this at the time they need to be changed? What is the recommended life-cycle of these tubes -...
