    Cleaning Substrate

Thank you so much! I was having reservations because of the bacteria issue. I currently have non adhesive shelf liner in the tank and a small dig box, but I’ll plan to just get rid of the substrate since she pooped in it. Thanks again for the help

    Cleaning Substrate

Hello! Looking for advice, should I completely replace the loose substrate in my tank if my bearded dragon poops on it? Is spot cleaning or sanitizing the substrate a safe option? TIA.

    Sleeping Beardie!!

My baby beardie Rhubarb has officially fallen asleep on me for the first time and I am so happy He’s been there for about 45 minutes but I need to get up so I can go to sleep myself! I know they don’t like to get woken up, and I would love to stay like this forever. But does anyone have any tips...

Does this look like tail rot?

First time mom here and I’m freaking out. I got Rhubarb almost two months ago and today I noticed that the tip of his tail looked dark. I’m attaching pictures. I know I will have to visit a vet but I wanted personal experiences as well.

Moving to another state with a baby beardie

Also, we will be stopping for gas a few times along the way. Should I have water and food available? In the carrier or not? I’ve seen some people don’t feed the day before and the day after. I’ve also seen that some people offer food during the trip.

Moving to another state with a baby beardie

I’ve seen many different ways to do this, but I like asking those who have had experience doing this. I am moving away, about 6 hour drive and a 2 hour ferry ride. Rhubarb is only a few weeks old and isn’t 100% comfortable with us handling him and everything. We leave May 7th, and he is shedding...

    Rhubarb’s First Shed!!

Hi there! We recently got our beardie for a little over two weeks. We were advised that he was only a few weeks old. For the past two days he has been refusing to eat when we tried to hand feed him. (We have had success in the past) Today I woke up and he is actually shedding! We hadn’t seen...

    Correct distance from basking bulb?

Thanks for answering! We actually have a tree like piece that he spends his time on that is a gradient so that’s so good to hear that I have something right! We are still figuring out what he likes best but have seen no gaping yet.

    Correct distance from basking bulb?

Hi! Thanks for your response. I am looking up probe thermometers, we have tried the surface temp ones and they aren’t giving us an accurate reading. I’m going to attach a picture of one that is best rated but still not sure, if you could give me your opinion!

    Correct distance from basking bulb?

Hi! I have been unlucky in finding an answer to this. I have a 100W basking bulb. I have a baby that is a few weeks old. Can anyone suggest to me the best distance their basking spot should be from the bulb itself?

Beardies Diet isn’t like What I Researched

Hi! I got my baby yesterday afternoon. I know it takes time for him to get used to the new environment and it might be affecting his diet. He will eat 5 ish crickets then stop eating. We have other foods like collard greens and veggies and he won’t eat that. I just want to be sure he’s okay and...
