I'm planning on just using a big Tupperware box I have that was a container for other Tupperware, if I can get mine to co-operate, currently it gets very aggressive if I try to handle it. Wish I knew what to do.
Hey all,
Lately on my Bearded Dragon I noticed something that looks odd on her upper left shoulder, she still doesn't like the idea of being handled, so not able to get a really close look at it without her trying to bite. Any idea what this is?
Thanks!
Chris
Hi all,
Found a website that got me thinking. In our Bearded Dragon's tanks we are trying to as much as possible recreate their natural habitat as possible.
So this got me wondering about lights, is it really a good idea to just turn on the lights at say 6 AM and leave them on till 6 PM? At...
Not sure if my Bearded Dragon has grown any yet, it still wants a very hands off approach to its care.
For fruits and stuff how big should each piece be? So far only thing I know she will eat is crickets. I've tried summer squash, blue berries, and strawberries.
Huge success! Got a UVB light that is 22" (the cage is a bit wider), and she shed her skin. Saw her hunt down several insects. Today I believe she's been much more active.
UVB is still the bulb which I've been told by a number of people is not good enough, I wasn't able to get back to the pet store today to exchange the fixture for one that is the right size. Her salad is in a bowel which I did see her climb into but not sure if she actually ate anything.
I did...
I'm wondering, is it possible she's eating when I'm not looking? When I do watch her she seems to become almost statue like, but today I've noticed she seems to be in quite a few different places when I look up at her.
Got a new UVB bulb and fixture unfortunately the bulb is 2" longer than the fixture, will need to go back to the store to replace it. Perhaps she is finally getting comfortable, she's moving around a lot more today, than she has previously.
I can't seem to find any basking lights over 100 watts, any suggestions? Unfortunately the decorations I bought / received with the kit doesn't get close enough to the mesh.
