    Baby beard about to shed?

Why is it taking so long for it to happen? I guess there's not much I can do except bathe him and not bother him, and keep offering him food... how long does the shedding process take in juveniles and are they sleepy and lethargic throughout the entire process?

    Baby beard about to shed?

He's asleep atm, but I will tomorrow! He has turned a bit dull and grey but there is no visible loose shed though.

    Baby beard about to shed?

Today - he had his breakfast (some dubies + worms), then had a sleep, then came to at around 5pm for a poop and to eat some more, then napped for the rest of the evening. I offered him some locusts and he only had 3 - he only seems to be interested in dubies and worms at the moment. He spent...

    A question about UVB lights

Greetings all, So I am a new beardie momma. I have a 38w t8 UVB tube, which has been recommended to me by the shop where I got my boy (I got him from a small reptile shop, NOT a chain pet store) but I've been told that t8s are not great, and t5s are much better. I need some help to choose the...

    Baby beard about to shed?

My basking temps are 34-37 C, I use an Exo Terra intense basking bulb and a 38w t8 UVB tube. I am planning to upgrade to a t5 though. I also dust his food with calcium + d3. The thing that worries me is how lethargic he is :/ he hasn't scratched today, just been very lethargic (but still...

    Baby beard about to shed?

Hello all, I am a first time beardie momma, I have a 4 month old boy (I think?), had him for about 3-4 weeks. He was stressed and not eating for the first week, until I got him a better basking bulb and he got used to his new home, then he was fine and full of beans. But in the last 3 days, I...

New bearded dragon stressed and not eating

Thanks! But the intense basking bulb should be ok, right? I'm waiting for Amazon to deliver it today. He is much happier and perkier since I've been feeding him the smoothies so thanks for the tip! Also his stress marks have faded. But he still refuses to eat his insects :( hopefully that will...

New bearded dragon stressed and not eating

I think I may have to get a new fixture - I've been searching the Internet for a 1050mm T5 tube, but they don't seem to exist :( my tube is held by these two hooks fixed to the ceiling of the viv. I'll measure them soon to see if I could possibly fit a shorter tube - don't want to bother him...

Yes of course - though the UVB will have to wait until next month cause of money. Thanks again, you're a star!

New bearded dragon stressed and not eating

It's autumn here, not too hot, not too cold. My room is about 20 degrees during the day, and 15 degrees at night. Also thank you so much for your tip re: the slurry! I just fed it to him and he seems happier and perkier - I am so relieved :) I think the cursed red light is definitely the...

Thanks again! Also what did you mean by slurry - do you mean mash everything up in a blender? I do want him to eat something...

New bearded dragon stressed and not eating

Thank you again! I've ordered that basking bulb - got it from Amazon so it should arrive quickly. I'm pretty sure that the stupid red light is annoying him. Also do infrared bulbs even produce any UVA? He's refusing to eat his locusts and worms :( I managed to feed him some spring greens...

New bearded dragon stressed and not eating

My T8 is only a week old, I bought it new. My tank is 22" tall... and it is exposed, not covered... it sits on the front of the tank, near the glass. Is this wrong? I did some googling and it seems that T5s do not come in 1050mm tubes, argh >___< would the T8 be ok for him? Also, would this...

I ordered a digital thermometer from eBay, it hasn't arrived yet. This is the UBV lamp I have (D3 Specialist T8 Zone 3 38w 1050mm)...
