I just want Goonie to have a dragon castle since my first beardie, Roo, was a failure to thrive from PetCo. After experiencing that, I want Goonie to be happy, healthy and spoiled rotten. ;)
Dividing it into two sections sounds like an easy fix; she'd have two houses which us cool. The dimensions are 36in wide, 27in deep 45in to top perch from bottom and 24in from top mesh (where I'll put the lights) to top perch.
Hey! :)
My grandpa built a 280.5 gallon tank for my beardie and I don't know what heat lamps (wattage and whatnot) to get. The tank is about 5'8" tall and has a two foot gap between hot high my beardie can go and when the heat lamps would be at the top. I am not concerned about the bottom being...
It has probably been five days now since Goonie has pooped and she will eat nothing but crickets (not even her favorite: fresh dandelion). I have given her a long bath two days in a row, but that did not work. She is clearly uncomfortable. If she does not poop today I am taking her to the vet...
My mum and I want to build a new enclosure for my bearded dragon. She has grown very fast and she seems to be miserable in her glass aquarium. Does any one have tips for building a melamine enclosure? Any Warnings? Thank you for your time. : )
I gave my beardie chard, but she didn't seem interested in leaving her perch. She has been staring at my for hours, so I assumed she was hungry. She ate one leaf piece I hand fed her. She just stared at the food for a long time so I hand fed her again. She spat out the piece of stem I gave her...
Under her lights (all three are in one cluster, it is 100-113 degrees Fahrenheit and she loves to be there 98% of the time. it ranges from 70-80 degrees on the cool end. At night the tank can get to low 70's. She eats romaine lettuce, mustard greens and juvenile beardie dry food (I sprinkle...
She has hissed at me three times (one of those was just because she was outside and we have birds) but the other two are when she goes into a cold corner. She has never bitten or hurt me, but she doesn't act like she is feeling the best emotionally.
Goonie (The dragon in my profile pic) will nestle down in the corners of her tank, where it is coldest, at night and when I give her her morning pets she will feel like an ice cube and not want to move. Goo has recently started to puff out at me and will go to the coldest part of my room when I...
I wish my beardie the best life possible, without buying anything unnecessary. Are there simple things I can do to make her happy? She is a sub adult who seems slightly miserable and I truly don't know why. Her tank is a great size, she has proper lighting, UVB, good diet, reverse-osmosis water...
