So I notice Alot of mix signal on stress marks. I have notice that some BD doesn't lose their stress marks. I notice when they are sleeping to taking a bath they don't show any stress marks. But I notice that even when mines is basking she has a bit of stress mark though she shows no sign of being stress. I heard some BD marks don't go away and that they just have them jist to have them. Just wanna hear the world idea on this

It seems that some beard darkening is normal. Whether its from thermoregulation, or a little attitude, it just happens. When it gets really dark, you know you have an unhappy dragon.

It sounds like a beardie version of a temper tantrum haha. I guess they have to get their point across somehow!

I didn't realize you were talking about their bellies. I'll have to look at my kiddos tomorrow. I never really paid much attention to their bellies.

I don't really think that the markings on their bellies are related to stress...They are just part of their coloring and when cool they are more apparent and yea they do kinda grow out of showing them.. I rarely see them on my 2 unless they are cold or mad.

Stress marks really do have a bad name because they really aren't from stress. They could be too hot, too cold, excited or angry and have stress marks. We need to come up with another name for them!

I never knew they were actually called "stress marks". Definitely a misnomer. I second Hdrydr31's "mood marks"!
