Ok. I bought the t5 bulb and hood on Amazon. Expensive but since I have put so much effort into this that he is worth it. It has to sit on the screen but this one is supposed to. I did google it and it said it gives more uvb and more powerful. It’s all I can do. I won’t return the other until I know more. When you have put so much effort and education ( reading). It’s hard. I know many have their lights on top and their dragon is fine so I know under is not the only way. We shall see. Thx
Ok so when the UVB comes you got the bulb too correct? The fixture comes w/ the 5.0 and it not strong enough to go thru the screen you need the 10.0 bulb as well -- placement for basking decor needs to be 8-10 inches directly underneath it -- how is the little guy doing? Is he eating anything at all now?

My little guy is eating. I do give crickets but not many are eaten unfortunetly he tends to prefer veggies which I know isn’t good. I’m getting the proper uvb on Monday and we will see. Vet appt on Monday as well. This will work out. My daughter was the first to feed him with him taking it from her hand. So adorable. I hope he will eat more and especially protein . I’ll try worms tomorrow. He may not like crickets. Heck I hate them too. I’ll keep you updated. How old is yours and what time are your feedings.

Its great hes eating --- and the salad is great --wonderful -- most dont eat salads at a young age --- he may not like crickets -- please get him some dubia roaches and some BSFL -- you can get them from here they are called nutri grubs on this site www.dubiaroaches.com --- you can feed the BSFL as salad toppers - feed him the salad first thing in the morning w/ your nutri grubs on top use as many as you want then add your dubias like a hr later -- I would get the large grubs-- and get the roaches no bigger than the space between his eyes length wise -- he should be eating around 10-12 roaches are more filling than crickets and better nutritional wise and alot easier to keep-- you can use a 10 gallon aquarium feed them dubia food along w/ carrots or squash for hydration just dont feed the dragon carrots too to much vitamin A - make sure your dusting the insects w/ calcium D3 5 x per week once per feeding and vitamins w/ beta carotene 2 x per week once per feeding -- he may go thru relocation stress for a while but as long as your lighting and basking temps are to what they should be he will start to eat more as he acclimates to the tank and surroundings -- I would hold off to the vet - its only going to stress him out more -- unless its absolutely necessary I would wait-- as long as hes eating something basking pooping and active hes good -- once you get the new UVB please let me know so I can help you get it placed -- distance and placement is crucial for proper UVB rays
My dragons are 15 months and almost 3 - feeding times are in the morning once per day -- insects 2-3 times per week w/ salads every day -- at this time they are not eating as much as the weather and brumation time is going on -- I keep track of the weight in the winter and make sure they are hydrated -- both are lying around and basking and doing a lot of napping etc

Where are you located. City or state? You seem knowledgeable .
I am in MN --- I have learned a lot from another forum that have had dragons for over 20 years and also a vet tech as well that is in Texas -- I have learned what works and what does not work and if I cant help I go to someone who can --

I didn’t see but they made him poop
So they gave him an enema-- watch him we have been advising NOT to have enemas done too much risk last one the lady had to have hers put down they paralyzed him-- the meds will make him not eat - what kind of meds and how much

Ponazuril .04 ml every 48 hrs and ronidazole .15 ml once a day for 10 days
Ok I am going to find out more info on that med-- keep him hydrated- if you need to give him water by syringe do it very slow - you don't want him to aspirate-- try dropping water on his nose see if he will lick -- but you want him hydrated- how is he acting? Is he moving around?

He doesnt need a lot --- may 1/2 ml or so but you want to keep him hydrated w/ the meds and I have not heard back yet about the meds as soon as I do I will post -- I am going to say his eating is going to be off w/ the meds it usually effects his eating -- if he doesnt eat at all please post -- hes little and cant afford to lose alot of weight -- you may end up having to feed him slurries - making them in your blender of collard kale squash turnip greens and insects --- he needs the protein as hes growing -- or you can look for some Critical care -- that is good stuff but its thick and you would need to really water it down -- but lets see how far off his eating goes --- you may not haft to resort to that but lets watch and see what he does -- you got the UVB situated correct?

Hi UVB is all set. Just gave him his meds. He is a champ. I will offer foods often. What about baths? Might hydrate him?

If he drinks from the bath- I would see if he's gonna eat his salads if he does rinse them before serving- he will get moisture thru that and hydrated insects- you can feed the insects carrots not the dragon too much vit A-- you can also drop water on his nose- if he keeps eating while on the meds that's fantastic

Also you need to be cleaning that tank after every poop he poops on decor floor etc w/ either F10 -- rescue or zoo meds wipeout- you want to kill the parasites so he does not get reinfected

This actually is more serious than expected. He has coccidia and flagellates. This is said to be very serious among small baby bearded dragons. I got him from petsmart and it’s within the 14 day return policy. I will return him for treatment and go elsewhere for another. I am not able to give him the care he needs. Thanks for your help
