Hello! I am new to owning a bearded dragon and my little girl has a few scales that have turned white and when touched she is noticeably uncomfortable. I am wondering if anyone knows what these are. Check out the pictures. Please help!

I am 90% sure she is shedding they don’t shed all their skin at once like snakes do. It comes off in bits and pieces. So I am pretty sure she is shedding. Mine is too

I’ve seen her shed her tail before... can it be painful to them?

Nope! It’s a completely natural thing. If they need help shedding you can soak them in a warm bathe 2-3 times a week for 20 min or so. But never rip of their skin. That can hurt. You can gently rub their back to get loose ones off. Good luck! If you have any questions about shedding or anything else you can come to me!
