Sometimes things happen that we can't explain. One time I lived in an old apartment with old wooden windows. I cleaned my house one night and the next day my cat had this ugly oozing scratch on her back. She liked to jump in the windows and living on the 1st floor we used to use nails to make it so the windows would only open a few inches. My first guess was that she jumped in the window and scratched herself on a rusty nail. We washed the wound and the next day it was worse so we took her to the vet. She ended up having to have multiple surgeries to have dead tissue removed. The vet swore that it was a chemical burn that I must have spilled something on her while I was cleaning. I didn't think there was anyway that could have possible happened she wasn't even in the same room with me but the vet said the test results show that's what it was. So I guess what I'm saying is things could happen that we don't even know happen.

What matters is that your beardie is going to be okay now.
