Website help needed?

i am trying to make 2 different sites. one for my boss who is a yorkshire terrier breeder and one for me which will be a reptile site. i found a couple sites thats i can use to make them but they are very confusing to me. can anyone give me some advice or a run through on how to make a site? plz and thank you
