IMO should prolly be treated just like a dog or cat. Take em in once a year minimum for a general check up. Also, when you first get em, take em in...just like when you get a new puppy or kitten I took mine in for a check up, she palpated him and wormed him and it was $75. I'm sure different vets are different this was just my experience.
