UVB question

This is going to seem dumb if I can even explain my question. Do they still get the vitamins needed from the UVB light if another light is brighter so that the UVB bulb doesn't seem as visible. My heat lamp makes it so you can't even see that the UVB light is on really is that okay?

As long as the UVB light isn't more than 6 months old you will be fine. The UVB light gives off waves of UVB that you can't see but they're still there. Just like on a cloudy day you can't see the sun but it will still turn you pink
