Yes - that is a wide hole type - the fixture can sit on top of the screen w/ a piece of basking decor directly under it 8-10 inches - change the bulb out in about 10-11 months -

okay. does my basking bulb have to be on the same side as the uvb? i assume in the wild they get there uvb and bask directly from the sun. or would it need to be placed somewhere else?

Try and get it as close to your basking bulb as you can --- the dragon knows what light he needs and will go to that light

did i place my lights at a good spot ? and also is this how it’s supposed to lay on the mesh?

That's good just make sure he can get directly under it 8-10 inches

As long as the hide hes sitting on is 8-10 inches under it - I see hes sitting on it- how long was he there for?

as soon as i installed it she went right under it for about a good hour and she is now basking .
