It's been raining all week and the house is spotless so there's nothing left to clean, Magellan is brumating, Frank and the cat don't want to be bothered and the dog is knocked out on the couch. I had nothing to do so I decided to bake my favorite pie. Now that my apple pie is done my entire house smells like warm apple cinnamon and sugar which is making my mouth water and I can't have the pie until this evening when Gene gets home from work....ahhhhh I want it now! lol

What's you food weakness?

I made those brownies last week because I didn't have the stuff to make the pie.

and recent additions since moving to NOLA

Fried Shrimp PoBoy
and Sweet Corn grits

oh and a good microbrew beer

The food down here is awesome I find something new weekly lol. Some of the beer they have here is to die for as well. I love a good dark beer. So far my favorite is Blackened voodoo by dixie

warm brownies with vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup

Eastern style North Carolina BBQ
baked ziti
garlic bread
Chicken Marsala
Humus-all kinds from jalapeno to roasted pine nut and any other flavor they make

The list could go on and on but those are all pretty equal of stuff I can't resist.

There is nothing better then some NC BBQ with a vinegar based BBQ sauce. For anyone who has never had it you must stop and get some if passing through NC

For me its any kind of cake with an icing...I cannot say no to this...ever !!!

OK so thinking while I am writing I have come to the conclusion that it is anything sweet...donuts...honey buns....yep just take them out of the wrapper and shmire them right on my butt....because that's where is ends up :

LOL!!! I am stressing!! Came upstairs with a wrapper of oreos and a cup of coffee. There are now 3 oreos left in the package!! I was thinking what a pig I am when I saw this!! Brian..enjoy eating like that while you can!!! :-*

Painted all the woodwork in my bedroom and the doors. Got paint on the floor that I have already scrapped and scrubbed 3 times getting it ready to stain and poly. Peeled the tape off to find the white paint had seeped under tape and onto freshly painted wall and stain ready floor!!Felt like throwing a fit but instead grabbed oreos and coffee and taking a time out!! Will go after it later with a tiny paint brush when I am not so irritated!!!

OOOOO...my favorite food would have to be what i stated in another post. Pumpkin roll with a scoop of ice cream and freshly brewed coffee!!! : 9

Clam Chowder hands down for favorite hot dish!!!

Potatoes are my worst weakness...
Favorite foods include:
Avocado (fresh not in guac)
My venison stew ( made that last night)
Sara Lee Pecan coffee cake ( Christmas morning breakfast... but I tend to celebrate the coffee cake throughout the year...)
Anything with a touch of spice.. Not interested in dull foods !
Wraps with mustard leaves to add a bit of ZOWIE !
ummmmmmmmmm... Garlic potato soup/chowder...
Clam chowder- New England style

Stir fry with the veggies from the garden...

And anything Gina and Candice come up with...

mmmm deer meat stew. I havent had that in years. Last time was when my great uncle made it. Oh the memories of before marrying someone that is halfway to being a vegetarian lol (she will only eat chicken and shrimp, occassionally beef but only if its "covered up" lol)
