Ok that would be great
For one no one plans to have to shell out at least 500 because that's what I got quoted by her vet I guess you didn't read up we already had to spend 1500 on our truck but I guess it doesn't have to factor into the equation how on earth to get her there and that we are in winter its 18 degrees out RN here you want me to take her into that and make it worse also we are in a rural area we don't have reptile rescues nor would I take her there they are all about money and would sell her to the first people who handed them some cash no matter there intentions we know her needs if they didn't do that they would just put her down... We have a baby! So let me get this right you just wanted me to make a choice so you want either my kid to be diaperless and starving or me to get rid of my precious beardie that we have been taking care of just fine on our own. So you might be able to do whatever you want for yours but just because people don't have the money to do everything you can doesn't mean they have to get rid of the pet they love so much... Don't you have a heart. If you can't afford the vet bills or struggle to get her to a vet I would recommend you get her to a local reptile rescue centre and ask them to take her on.
I know its hard to hear this but you have to put her needs first.
I hope you can get her sorted out
Just as a side note I'd drop the lettuce for something like broadleaf parsley and rocket. Much better for your girl
First of all I'm not a "fella" I'm a woman second of all get off my thread and third I don't need negative remarks and the reptile vets around here ain't **** we have a friend who works at a pet store who did more for her than the vet did. She was near death to where she wasn't even able to rehome but he brought her back and those pictures she is way better than she was... like I said I dont need your negativity in my thread. Its got nothing to do with heart fella its got to do with the welfare of the animal. You've stated yourself the beardie has a lot of health issues, you've stated you haven't got the money right now due to other issues going on, you've stated yourself you have neither the finances or reliable enough transport to get to the vet and you've posted a picture of your pet showing that it definitely needs to be seen by a professional.
It comes to the point where you have to realise that you cannot provide the level of care that this dragon needs and thats not meant as negative criticism because we all know real life happens but the plain matter of this situation is that your reptile needs specific medical attention now and you can't provide it and sometimes the best love you can show for any pet is to realise that this is the case and to take them to someone in a position who can, hard as that is.
I have a small cylinder fish tank. 5 or 7 gallons. I used to put my dragon in it with feeders. Even if he was lazy the roaches or crickets would eventually walk in front of him while they continuously looked for a corner to hide in.I have been on here with my bearded dragon a lot she has had health issues since she was very young she is 2 something years old and she weighs under a pound is there anything a bearded dragon loves that will pack weight on her that she doesn't have to chase... She is blind in one eye and if the insects go to the side she is blind in she cant see them anymore and we have to try and get her to hunt all over again it takes about 8-10 minutes just to get her to eat one superworm.
If she's going to die she is going to at home I'm not going to give her to someone that's just going to put a needle in her because that's what the vet here told me to do and no ones going to take one that costs that kind of money. She is a special needs dragon and she always will be that won't change... I am pro life and that means my pets too.well I'm sorry you feel offended but the fact still remains that you have supplied a long list of reasons as to why you cannot provide this Beardie with medical attention, be it financial, locality or the fact any vets near you are not up to scratch.
So ask yourself, if the condition of that animal gets worse what are you going to do?
This has got nothing to do with negativity and everything to do with practicality and the welfare of an animal.
