I'm so sorry for your loss. She was a strong girl that fought a good fight. It's good to know she no longer has to fight and Is at peace.

Athena is no longer with us. She was skinny enough that the vet could feel her intestine had started going inside itself. He said her symptoms were textbook for this. There was probably some underlying cause for this but it could've just been a freak thing. He didn't think putting her through surgery was worth it since there was a good chance she still wouldn't have made it. She would've starved to death so we both agreed the right call was to end it before she started to suffer

Im very sorry to hear this, but made the right call. You did the best you could have done for her..she knew love and she knew she was cared for. You gave her the best most caring end to her hardship. She is flying high now.
