Temps for a 4 month BD

Hi what should temp range be in basking area for a 4month old leatherback?

Shoot for 90-ish
You'll know if it's too much by the way he responds. If he never goes near it, it's too hot. If he's staying there all the time it may not be hot enough.

Here is pic of him basking. He usually is in that spot unless there is food. I have a temp gun and when I shoot it on his back it reads 99°f and when I shoot it on his head it reads 106°f.

110-115 should be your basking temp...... With cool side around 80-85.......
