1. Patience: Being cold-blooded, they process what's going on slowly. Move slowly.
2. Watch their breathing: Fast breathing = fight or flight. Holding breath = Not quite sure what you're up to. Slow breathing = relaxed.
3. Put your hand in their enclosure often. Don't try to touch them, just tinker with stuff. Let them see that you're not a threat.
