Tail rot?

I was wondering if anyone can help identify if this is tail rot or just our dragons coloring. We just got him about a week and a half ago, and he does have an appointment to go to the vet on Monday just for an overall health check. He’s about 4 months old but the breeder couldn’t really give us much more information on him. If you have any ideas, they would be greatly appreciated!
He’s had the same coloring on the tail since we got him, it hasn’t grown on gone away at all though. But we did notice the day we brought him home that on the very tip of his tail he has what appears to be past trauma.
Any help is very much appreciated!

Yes it looks like a nip -- watch it - it will probably fall off -- it starts to turn black then it would be infection starting so you can get some raw unpasteurized honey on it and that will kill the infection -- please NO crickets in the tank if you start the honey -- they will go straight for the tail -- the rest of the coloring is shed coming on -- let it do its thing -- do not pick it off please --
