Ali (Alley, now) never really liked his baths. He'd try to get out of his container. Today, he splashed his back legs, then tried swimming. Is it okay for him to submerge his head or put his head under water for a second and then came back up.

Yes, they are naturally quite capable swimmers, they will inflate their body with air so they float & can safely submerge on their own (no dunking ;)) for short periods of time.

How about under water? The water level might've been too deep, but he didn't seem 'stressed'. He seemed happy. And I worried he was going to get water into his ears.
