Stress spots or not?

Hi, I have two almost 3 yr old beardies who are fit and healthy apart from marks on their underside.

They started out about pea sized and over the last year have got much bigger.
I showed them to my local reptile shop who seemed confident they were just stress spots but I'm not so sure.
As they have got bigger they have taken on a sort of glassy sheen but don't seem to be causing any discomfort and can be touched and pressed without causing any visible distress.

Has anybody got any ideas what these could be or confirm they are just stress spots.
As I say they don't seem to be causing them any problems but would like the peace of mind.
They are both in separate vivs and I don't think it's something they have passed to each other.

Many thanks, loopy

I do not know exactly what they are, but I can tell you, so called stress marks they are not. What are you using for substrate?

That really should be looked at by a Qualified Herp Vet.

We used tera sand before the mark first appeared and we changed it to tile and kitchen roll paper since. They have a large fake rock each and climbing wall. They are alway energetic and love walking around the house and having baths and ignoring the cats!. They both eat well and toilet is regular and fine same as shedding.

Il try and put some photos put of them and viv.

Do they both have these marks? Are they housed together?

Just about looks 'Fungal'...

They aren't housed together Germ :) as Loopy said just before she posted the picture. Not to worry you but it appears to be some form of fungal issue, I would contact a herp vet and get it checked out!

You could try applying 'Tea Tree Oil', available at most health food stores. It has been known to have really good results in treating fungal ailments. By most reviews that I have read, works as well or better than most anti-bacterial treatments, without the issues sometimes related to them.

Hopefully you can get this cleared up ASAP and let us all know what it was and how to cure it! Best of luck to you!

I would agree that those most definitely are not stress marks. Stress marks would be the pretty pattern on the belly of your BD (you can see them around and under the dark spots) that can get darker or lighter depending on various factors, among those: heat and the need to take in or not take in any more, and stress. I can see how they get fungal. Do the dark spots seem a little fuzzy to you? They look a little fuzzy in the pic like a dark mold almost.
