My beardie Falcor had a spot on his back for a bit of time and I thought nothing of it just that he was shedding two days ago when I was giving him a bath the piece came off but now the spot where he shed is very soft to touch and not even close to the same color! Hes more of an orange color and the spot where the skin came off is a dull and light like a browish color ! Im not sure whats going on and I am going to set up an appt with the vet! Any suggestions what may be happening? :(

thats what i was thinking that he may have gotten burnt! I had a kinda basking like tree thing there and noticed that he stopped using it. Its been out of the tank and there is no way possible now that he can get near it i just feel real bad ( He has had no change in mood or appetite accept like I said after he shed the area is lighter soft and I forgot to mention that his little prickels in that area are pretty much gone it prob wont grow back will it ? i will see if i can get a pic of the area and upload it

just make sure its not an open wound. you can use neosporin or silvadene creme if you have it and you think its needed.

one of my girls does the same thing when she sheds sometimes. she just looks dry afterwards. when she gets wet you cant see it. it goes away on her in a few days.
