I want to start by i'm not a MOD nor am i affiliated with this forum in anyway other then a member. The problem i see that is happening is allot of the Threads are getting cluttered with conversation that is off topic. Everyone has a right to opinions thoughts and idea. The problem with hitch hiking post even when the original poster doesn't come back is the next guy through. If we get a new member or even a guest browsing looking for answers, They have to go through all the extra clutter to find there answer. I use to read every thread and every post when i first came here but now to be honest i don't. there is just to much clutter in allot of these post IMO. I know i feel some of this feels like a popularity contest. Some people just like everything that is posted weather it has solid content to it or not. This doesn't give much merit to the like button. Myself i could care less about it, im not here to be "liked" I come here to learn and help others give there Dragon the best care that they can, and to be among people with the same passion as mine. My suggestion is to stay on topic at hand. And all the rest make a thread. As far as lizardlovers thread' who knows what happened to it could be glitch. I know i have read some older stuff and had that happen also, i wouldn't be so quick to accuse the MOD or ADMIN that they deleted it, you can always start a new thread. Just have fun and try to keep the site clutter free to make it easier for new members to find there answers.

You both raise valid points, but at the same time the original question in the post had been answered which then lead to a second question in the same post asking what a word ment, surely this also deserved to be answered, which it was & highlighted the difference in meanings of words or names of items different but for the same thing in our various countries.
I personally feel the best solution was that these questons were answered, as the person who posted the original post may also not have known what the 'Conti Board' as was spoken about in this instance was, as we dont always know which country we are all from and what means one thing in the UK means something differnt in the US or Australia etc. As has been said we are all here to help each other at the end of the day.
I also feel that no-one should have to appologise for having asked any question, no matter how trivial or silly it may sound, as that is the only way we will learn about each others differences & use of the English Language, and in the thread that started all this debate a member felt the need to appologise. That shouldnt happen had someone been insulted or abused then an appology would have been necessary, but not foe asking a question.
I am not here for a popularity contest either, I am here to meet & speak with other people who share an interest in Bearded Dragons, which so far I have found here, but if we are going to have to start a new thread everytime we dont understand what a word or something is in a post there will be more posts asking for meanings of things rather than posts helping each other.
Just my humble opinion.

Ok, this is all getting nuts. The way I'm reading this now, is that UNLESS it is 100% SPECIFIC to THAT exact topic, we are to no longer ask a question about something? Even any words that are foreign from our own, and may not know the alternate meaning of said word (i.e. 'rocket', which is UK word for my American word, 'arugula')... If I did not ask that I would have been searching my stores (possibly) for something we "don't have". Better safe than sorry to ask now, then to not ask and kill your pet, potentially.

If this is how the site people (admins, mods, reg. members alike), then I may try to find somewhere else to go. We are all from other areas of the world. So we are NOT all going to speak/type the same language. And sometimes, also, it's okay to have a little fun. But when it comes to asking a TRUE question, no matter how "off topic" it is, is in my mind, just as important as the initial question of the thread.

FYI... This thread is in the wrong section. Just sayin'...

Wow guys, really??? When I first came here two weeks ago after my brand new beardie burned herself I didn't waste much time "LOOKING" through all of the other posts. I needed/wanted answers and I needed them NOW. So I opened a new thread to get the help I needed. And I got help almost immediately. I appreciate every single post/comment that was made on that thread and any others that I have been on since. If there is a question of translation then by all means ASK. If I do not understand the wording of something I would rather clutter a thread than take a chance of hurting or killing my Dragon. I think this is being blown way out of proportion. Have fun with it and don't sweat the small stuff. I know I am just a noo B here but I'm just sayin'

haha i didnt even notice that! but bet a mod wont delete or move it - it will stay a "glitch"
As you say Missy it has Nothing to do with bearded dragons discussions and should be in OFF TOPIC DISCUSSIONS! so now who is in the wrong for adding something not remotely connected to the forum name and cluttering up this section :)

Seems this is now really getting out of hand all over trying to help people - yes thats it help people understand the language barrier and maybe even Educate!!

After I write the owner of this site, I believe I'll be taking you up on the offer, Bill. THAT was just blatantly rude and disrespectful. I AM DONE.
