Yes calcium with every single thing she eats. And can you explain more on how to get the uvb lighting inside the screen? Do i have to buy new special hanging hardware and a whole new fixture?
No your good w/ fixture - pull screen back so it's 3/4 on the tank w/ the opening place the uvb width wise across the tank - how tall is your tank we may haft to get it in the tank - you can use picture wire hangers- they are bendable - but you want that uvb 12" above her

I just measured it’s 11 and a half inches above her and I peeled back the screen. Again thank you so much for all your help by the way!

I saw pictures of her on the other forum. I feel so bad for her and you.
Please do post the X-rays asap.
At three months old I'm concerned there is something besides mbd going on and the vet is using the term mbd as a blanket term because they don't really know themselves. Mbd id a horrible disease for sure. But you are using a good uvb bulb and, even if you never gave calcium a single time she should not have developed it that quickly. And certainly not that severely. Also the swollen legs look more like gout than mbd.
I suspect she may have issues that she was just born with and the swelling is do to something going on internally. (I'm no vet so I'm basing what I'm saying from stuff I've seen posted over the years)
I would recommend getting blood work done and also I recommend getting a 2nd opinion from a different vet it possible.
Honestly though if she is in chronic pain letting her go might be the most humane thing to do.

I went back and reread your thread. I see I was mistaken on her being 3 months old. You said this started 3 months ago. I apologize, the progression makes more sense now.

Hello,

We are emailing & I have responded on the other forum too. How is she doing today?
Which brand of tube UVB are you using?
Are you going to be getting a blood test done on her then? If so, I can definitely look over it for you
also. I don't recommend getting anymore calcium shots. It can cause renal or heart failure.

Tracie
