Hi!

Spyro has been really strange recently. Even after all these years, some beardies behaviour still confuse me.

Right, so last night i changed spyros bulb to a 100w heat bulb as he looked very dark so thought he may be cold. This wasnt the case, after an hour he dived into his water bowl and splashed about for ages, really freaked me out. He then started scratching his eye against the corner of the tank, it isnt a shed as he has just finished a full one. There is no loose skin around his eye. So immediately i changed his bulb back to a 60W and took him out for a cuddle to cool off and calm him down. Job done. He was fine for the evening.

Today I get home from work and he is sitting up on the ledge, and started (what looked like) scratching his bum against the wood. He had a very messy poop this morning, we all know how it is, so didnt think too much of it. This has persisted on and off for an hour or so now, and its something i've never really seen him or any of my other beardies do.

Can anyone let me know what it could be? Although i take extra care it what i feed and put in his viv, im worried he may have parasites.

I have tried to put the video attached to this, how weird he was being last night. If it doesnt work let me know.

He could have just wanted to play in his water and be goofy. Give him a good look over, he could have some stuck shed pieces. Dexter played in her water bowl once and completely freaked me out because she never even drank out of it let alone sit in it but it was just that she wanted to play, did it once and that was it. Also, like Draeju said, look for mites just to rule anything out.

You said you changed the bulbs because you thought he was cold, did you check the temperature in the tank before you did this?
