how often do you replace your reptisun 10?
can my beardie be to close to it (it is about 6 inches from his basking spot), or is it being not close enough that is the main problem?

The Reptisun 10.1 Tube bulb needs to be replaced every 6 months.

As far as distance is concerned. 6 inches is the utmost closest that your dragon can get to the bulb. I would say that 8-9 is probably better but i do not have much experience with this bulb.

I too replace my ReptiSun 10.0 tube every 6 months. Mine is about 10 inches away from the highest basking spot.
