I need to get rid of my beardie he is about a yr and 10 months I rescued him at 10 months his name is beast. He's a sweet yellowish color loves attention but I've been working a lot lately and it seems to be taking a toll on him he's not as happy and isn't eating as much as normal if anyone has any advice where I can go to get him a good loving home please leave a comment I'm in upstate NY.

Josh before rehoming the Beardie make sure to let everyone know that the UVB light needs replacing religiously every 6months and to feed Dubias and crickets twice a week and mustard greens, yellow squash, dandelions ( veggies) everyday and fruits like blueberries cut in 1/2 once a week!!! Most the dragon 2-3 times a day baths twice a week and more when shedding and make sure the water is like warm and water level should be way below his neck!! Clear bulbs only for heat and all lights off at night for sleeping. 10-12houts/day in the winter and in the summer leave both lights on for 12-14 hours. Wipe the poop immediately or Beardies will get cordial and no food or water left in the tank at bedtime

U needed to change the UVB light every 6 months religiously otherwise they get brittle bones which leads to metabolic home disease and they die. The best one is the Reptisun 10.0 T5 it’s a long tubular bulb and it should cover 80 percent of the tank starting at the hot side. Also the heat needs to be correct. 95-98 for an adult dragon. What ever happened to the dragon did u rehome him? Please call the new owners and tell them that the uvb bulb needs replacing every 6Mnths. Amd both lights on for 12-14 hours in the summer and 10-12 on the winter. At night for bedtime all lights off. And never use colored bulbs

Thank you both so much! Yes I know as far as the lights I have about 15 replacement bulbs ready to go he did end up getting a home with someone. She has a lot of experience with beardies and he now has a tictoc and followers he is eating again and much happier now that he has someone that doesn't work so much to give him the time he needs. He's a very social guy so that was what was upsetting him. I appreciate the reply!
