I got a new baby bearded dragon on Saturday. Got it into the cage on sat afternoon with a few meal worms. Took it to a friends house and he eventually ate the worms. But today he has thrown up twice mainly from whatever he ate in the shop on Saturday and Saturday night. Beardie definatley didn't eat or drink on Sunday. Hasn't ate or drank today either. I am hearing different stories that males go of their food during winter or stress of moving to a new home. I've rang 3 vets and they don't have a specialist in reptiles. I'm interested in hearing owners different experiences with new baby beardies. Would say mine is about 5-7 inches. Breathing is a little slow too

he's too young to be slowing down for winter and please discontinue the mealworms. that could be part of the problem as they are hard to digest. and moving to a new home can stress a dragon for a few days. gime him a bath once a day for a few days to see if he will drink so he'll stay hydrated. and until he gets settled into his new home i would'nt take him anywhere as that will just add to his stress. where are you located? we can help you find a vet.

I gave him a bath 5 mins ago and he produced his first bowel movement along with a worm. I'm located in Belfast, northern Ireland. He hasn't had fruit or veg yet and unsure what fruit or veg to give him

I agree with the above, although I don't think you've stated anything causing a need for a bath. Here in the uk we are told by our repti vet that if ur beardie is drinking from the water dish there is generaly a health problem. If the live good is well fed and watered this will b passed to beardie. Most definatly probley due to the move, leave the beardie in his viv for a few days to settle in and get used to ur routine

they also need regular baths to help with shedding. if you have a dragon that doesnt eat fruits and greens then baths are greatly needed. pacman frogs get about the size of a baseball and have teeth:eek:

What are your viv temps?
What do you measure them with? (Probe, stick on, temp gun?)
What type and brand of UVB are you using?
