Properly Graded Play Sand

Is this the same as strained play sand? I was looking to buy sand for my beardie tank but only found washed properly graded play sand.

You must strain it yourself, but yes, washed Play sand is what you are looking for.

Is there a certain size strainer I should use?

I use the screen top from one of my enclosures to strain it. Buddha uses window screen to strain his. The long & short of it is, you want it as fine as you can.
