The guys here are recommending this Mercury bulb because it’s a combination bulb and he says works very well. Assume that’s crap, too?

and thank you vey much — I’m dizzy with confusion right now but feel bad for Moonie.

He can “survive” on anything, but the best lighting is what sadie recommended, dont buy the 70$ bulb, goodness, i can’t believe they can charge that.

No reflector in it, but id still use it instead of the compact bulb, they are bad for bearded dragons eyes

I personally have used the “coil” uvbs and they arnt quality. You want the uv spectrum spread throughout the enclosure.

Please use the Thrive for now --- w/ no reflector the UVB rays are going to go all over and not downward toward him which is what you want --- the coil is going to do nothing in a 40 gallon tank --- they are just bad all around I have nothing good to say about them and the Thrive fixtures and bulbs are junk -- I cant believe they are selling them w / NO reflectors -- jeez you can go to Home Depot and get a under counter fixture for $13 and get the same effect as what your paying for that Thrive--- you can take a piece of tinfoil and place inside the Thrive fixture w/ the shiny side out -- that will reflect the UVB rays till you get a decent fixture --- what are you ordering ? Please post back on here when you get it I will help you get it placed in your tank --- the screen on the tank is it a fine mesh like a screen door or a wide hole type screen ?
