Hello, how often should a healthy dragon poop?thanks
A dragon 3-4 mnths old poops 1-2 times per day; 4-9mnths old once per day & 9mnths or older once per day, or every other day or two. Impaction is caused by ingesting sand, feeding mealworms, or feeding proteins/greens and veggies that are too big. Remove any sand substrate and use white terry cloth towels, NEVER feed mealworms it’s a cheap/fatty feeder that destroys their tummy’s and impacts them. Make sure the temp is correct; for Beardies under 7mnths old; temp should be 100-105 & 8mnths or older 95-97; as Beardies get older turn into adults they like it less hot. Don’t feed superworms unless they are over a year old. Cut up all veggies and greens so that the size is not bigger than the space between his 2eyes. If the poop is soft/runny and smelly he has a parasite called Coccidia or the temps are completely off. Use zoomed for heat and reptisun 10.0 T5 for UVB the length of the UvB light u order shoidl cover 70 percent of the tank & he needs a hideaway. And replace the UVB every “6”
Mnths or the Beardie will suffer.

Depends, a baby should be pooping all day long, my beardy use to poo every day, nows shes at about every other day, some poop once a week, while this shouldn’t be regarded as normal, they’re lots of beardies that do and they’re completely healthy.

YES babies poop all day long as long as they are feed properly; NO mealworms and assuming they don’t have sand in their enclosure that they are investing. I am assuming it’s not a baby and if it is she needs to be feed 4-5 times a day the proteins and always a plate of veggies/greens. As the beardie is older that 6Mnths you feed proteins twice per day woth the plate of veggies/greens and after a year old; the proteins twice per day or every other day but always the plate fo fresh greens/veggies.

Specifically my beardies approx. a year old.
A year old Beardie poops once a day, or every other day or every few days is standard/healthy. Just Make sure u are NOT feeding mealworms because that impacts them and the plate of veggies/greens should be cut up so that the food items are not bigger than the space between her “2” eyes. Also make sure the basking spot temp is not too blazing hot or too low in heat. The temp for a Beardie over 9mnths old should be between 95-97/98. Use the zoomed basking bulb that’s the best one the Exxo terra doesn’t get to that temp. Change the UVB every “6” mnths religiously also to prevent MBD/brittle bones/health issues.
