So today after I cut up my greens for my bearded dragon when I came back up to give him the bowl I noticed he pooped and in the poop there were 2 un-digested phoenix worms that were not dead.. They were slowly moving (I don't have a video or picture) Is this something I should be worried about? Everything it normal with the heating 110 on the hot side etc. All the bugs I give him (Pheonix worms, Dubia roaches, Wax Worms and Crickets in variety) always get dusted with the vitamins. Thoughts/Concerns would be appreciated.. Thanks!

No clue but a good guess is maybe he didn't bask long enough after his last feeding or you may have fed less than an hour before his lights went out

Well that's interesting...Yes make sure he gets good basking time after his last feeding and make sure that feeding is at least 2 hours before lights out..

That's why I don't feed any of my reptiles/amphibians phoenix worms. I know they are really good for them but mine always poop them out whole. Someone mentioned to me that the more you feed them phoenix worms the less that happens. I tried that and it didn't work. I even tried fattening up the worms. There was a whole article on how to gut load phoenix worms and it looked easy but turned out to be a complete disaster.

My frog used to eat them again, if they were still moving after he pooped them out

Ya, they are really healthy feeders, but their skin is pretty incredible. You can just poke them with a sewing needle before feeding them and it takes care of the problem. Dont cut the heads off or anything extreme like that as it releases stomach acid right away which can irritate the sensitive mouth tissue of the dragon.
